Full program description
The Operating Room Assistant Micro-Certification is delivered as a 12-week program consisting of two 5-week modules of course work, two weekend labs in an OR setting, and a condensed clinical placement at their hospital site. Each module builds upon the last, therefore, participants must successfully complete all courses in Module One to progress to Module Two, and must successfully complete both modules to move into the Clinical Practicum. Following completion of the program curriculum and on-site clinical practicum requirement, participants will continue building their competencies during a robust OR clinical orientation established by hospital partners. OR orientations are developed and delivered by the hospitals.
