Full course description
In this course, students will build on experience from the Surgical Technology Practice 1 course, apply theoretical knowledge of surgical instrumentation and surgical aseptic technique in a practical setting. Students will practice preparing and passing surgical instruments and demonstrate the proper care of specimens; examine general and specialized surgical procedures, and perform skills of the Operating Room assistant in mock surgical procedures.
