Full course description
In this course, students will examine the relationships between the structures and functions of the human body and the varying effects of disease. By the end of the course, students will be able to successfully describe the anatomy, physiology and location of cells, tissues and organs of the following body systems: integumentary, nervous, endocrine, skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, lymphatic, circulatory, gastrointestinal, urinary and special senses; List the levels of organization in the body and describe the anatomical position; Apply the appropriate terminology related to anatomy, physiology, disease and organization of the human body; and identify which diseases affect each system of the body.
