Full course description
This course introduces students to painting and coating systems used on ships and marine vessels. Instruction focuses on surface preparation, abrasive blasting, coating materials, application methods, and basic inspection practices required to protect ship structures from corrosion and environmental exposure. Emphasis is placed on shipboard conditions, shipyard equipment, safety requirements, and industry standards specific to marine vessels.
